World Combat Sports Challenge - The Awakening

My good buddy Bryan Petro runs the website, camuaythai.com which discusses California Muay Thai events along with national and international Muay Thai news, videos, and clips about fighters and major events. Bryan is someone who can back up what he writes about because he not only is a United States MuayThai Federation champion, but he is fighting on the U.S. National Amateur team in Thailand at the end of 2009 and recently won the IKF Muay Thai welterweight championship.
Watching great fights is something that everyone should witness. Here in the Bay Area, we are very fortunate that there are some pretty good fight promotions that strive to give the fans great cards. One great event in particular coming up is the World Combat Sports Challenge - The Awakening. The event is being held in San Francisco, Ca on May 30th at the Kezar Pavillion. I was fortunate enough to fight for the California State Cruiserweight Title last year at this event and it was a very action-packed show. While the venue itself isn’t the best around, this year’s event promises to hold an exciting show. This card is one of the first to hold both Professional Muay Thai and MMA fights along with amateur Muay Thai championship fights to round out the evening. I am really looking forward to seeing who wins because some of my training partners are fighting on this show. If you live in the Bay Area and are around on the 30th, try to make the event.
