Colon Cleansing Diet - How to Do Properly
By Ryan English

Colon cleansing diet is not some thing a very special diet that has been designed for colon cleansing. Our normal day to day food also is a good source of colon cleansing diet. Of course these days a special diet has to be made specifically for clean up process of the colon as the current time diets are rich in fats and many other unwanted starchy foods and in unwanted sugary items. They have no role to play in the colon cleansing process. Instead they add to the bulk and increase the intestinal problems.

A complete colon cleansing diet should have a good source of the so called fibres as a main ingredient. These fibres are also called as roughages. They are mainly responsible for cleaning up of the intestines and the colon n specific. They are insoluble substances by the liver bile. In other words they cannot be digested by the human digestive system but are sent out along with the other digested waste materials. In fact these fibres are only responsible for collecting all the waste materials from the intestine. They collect all the impurities that are present in the colon through the brush like actions. In this process it also removes any kinds of toxins also if they are present.

Toxins are very harmful for the body as they tend to produce many kinds of diseases. They are also responsible for various joint pains and all kinds of toxin related body aches. These toxins are produces as a by- product as a result of the digestion of the food materials. They are chemical substances and are sent through the blood to the intestine for waste disposal. They are then combined with the urine during the excretion process and are also clubbed with the faeces while excretion or in the bowel movement.

Any kinds of foods that are rich in fibres are a good source of colon cleanser. All the whole bran foods like the whole rice, whole millets, all fruits and vegetables. The main idea of colon cleansing is that they are to be very minimally cooked. Heat destroys the fibre action of the foods. They tend to soften the fibres thus making them very soluble. Raw foods are best for colon cleansing but since all the foods cannot be taken in raw they can be minimally cooked before consumption. Ginger root, aerial part of plantain plant, barberra leaf, aloe Vera leaf, all can be a good source of dietary fibres.

Along with the dietary fibre, sufficient amount of water also is very essential for effectively disposing the waste outside the body. Though the fibres help to collect the wastes from the body, water helps in their disposal. Both are required in hand to hand. Like how fibres of quantity 25 to 30 grams are required daily for proper waste collection, approximately about 8 litres of water or fluids are required daily. When the colon cleansing kits are being used to clean up the colon, most of them recommend only liquid diet during the whole process as the waste disposal becomes very easy with water in sufficient amount.

Along with proper fibre rich diet daily and routine body exercises are a must. T not only keeps the body fit and fine but also improves the waste disposal process with improved blood circulation. It is always better to avoid over processed foods and fast foods as the nutrient value is also lost during the process and the fibre content is totally removed during the process.
