Getting a Leaner Body with every workout

To be big or not to be big, that is the question.
The mind can be very deceptive. I can imagine that you look at yourself in the mirror, and you aren’t happy with the result. You might not be lean enough, muscular enough, tall enough etc. Whatever it is, it is all in your head. I know that it is for a fact because it happens to me everyday. I am in pretty good shape. Between bodybuilding, heavy martial arts training, and other types of workouts, it still isn’t enough for me. I want to be bigger, but I don’t want to go the unhealthy route and take steroids. So what’s the key? Lots of reps? Lots of sets? Should I do cardio? Or should I not?
It shouldn’t be that hard. I want to be bigger, leaner and stronger. Is that such a crime?
What I have learned is that there are 5 main principles to help me work towards the body I want.
1. You need to lift big to grow big.
Lift bigger heavier weights to become stronger. You should be lifting 70%-80% of your 1 rep max. 4 sets at 6 reps per set.
2. Lift the weights rapidly.
The faster you lift, the better the results. Faster lifts target more muscle fibers, increasing growth and speeding up your heart rate, helping you burn fat and become leaner and stronger.
3. Don’t substitute form for reps
Once your muscles tire from lifting a heavy weight at a fast pace, you’re left to struggle with the weight using fibers that are burned and maxed out. You will be begin to use bad form to make up for the heavy weight. Don’t. Keep your form as strict as possible.
4. Keep your focus on the end result
Total reps are the main focus. Have a target rep goal and stay true to it.
5. Think big to grow big
Work out your biggest, strongest muscles with hard, heart pumping exercises.
Squats, Deadlifts, Bent Over Rows, Bench Press, Clean and Press etc.
