Giving the body time to rest

I took the past few days off for a small vacation to Lake Tahoe. I went to a wedding where there was plenty of alcohol and fattening foods. The problem with taking a winter vacation to the snow is that I tend to consume everything that is in front of me. Beer, alcohol, and lots and lots of fried foods. It’s one of those situations where you know it’s bad to be consuming so much, knowing that you aren’t working out for a few days, yet you want to give your body a break from the heavy wear and tear of working out 5+ days a week.
Today is getting back into action and on the road . Leg day today followed by 25 minutes of cardio.
