Leg Day W/O 12/15

The leg workout this week has left my legs messed up. They’re super tight, extremely sore, and have been getting worse and worse as the hours fly by. This week’s workout was a doozy.

3 sets at 180 lbs on the leg press. I did 12 reps per set.

Squats were next.

I did my normal 4 warm up sets.

2 sets at 135 lbs x 12 reps per set

2 sets at 225 lbs x 10 reps per set.

(Remember to squat with your thighs/femur parallel to the floor)

1 set at 275 lbs x 10 reps

1 set at 315 lbs x 8 reps

1 set at 345 lbs x 4 reps

The next exercise was dumbbell lunges. We decided this week to lunge a distance along one of the walkways of the gym. The distance from start to end is about 100 feet each way, so a total of 200 feet worth of lunges. We used 35 lb dumbbells to give it some extra oomph!

Finishing leg day was doing hamstring curl machines. 3 sets using the whole stack.

Wow! After reading what I did for my workout, I now realize I definitely should have stretched more.
