Morning Cardio Workouts

With Thanksgiving now behind us during the past week, I think it’s time to start stepping up the cardio for the Winter season. I keep telling myself every winter to start doing cardio workouts during December and January so that when Spring comes, I’ll already be in good shape; lean and defined. Yet, that never seems to happen. Just like when I tell myself to get a Halloween costume in September, but typically end up buying a crappy one the day of.

This week I am going to try and do a morning cardio workout 3 days out of the week, in addition to my evening cardio, although I am not sure if the cold and rain will permit me to make it in the mornings. I find it very hard to get motivated when I wake up because it’s a) cold and dark out b) my bed is amazingly warm and comfortable and c) cardio is boring. Tomorrow will be day #1 of the new and improved me, although I haven’t really made any plans to improve anything.

The morning cardio is going to kick start my day, keep my metabolism burning fat, and help me stay energized at work. What I am hoping is to start leaning out like how I was a few months ago when I was doing cardio a lot more. I will keep a log to see how much I weighed when I started, and how much I weigh the end of December. This will determine if I will continue with the morning workouts.
